Realtime
technology is provided through a litigation support software loaded
onto the attorney's computer. The reporter's writer is
attached to a laptop that instantly translates the shorthand to
English. The laptop is then connected to the attorney's
computer by a cable provided by the reporter.
This software
loaded onto the receiving computer allows the attorney or paralegal
to view the testimony instantly, mark text, make notes that attach
to a particular section of the transcript, perform searches and save
reports. You literally walk away from the deposition with
a rough draft and all personal notes on your
computer.
We have researched several litigation support
software products that provide access and utilization of the
reporter's realtime feed. Several of the most common ones
are:
CaseView
II LiveNote
Summation
We
can provide 30-day demo software for CaseView II, if you are
interested.
At Dunn, King
& Associates, we will
provide the software support necessary when learning how to
effectively use realtime technology. We will even provide a
day of realtime free of charge so you can see how easily this
cutting-edge technology can work for you!
